In his generation, Tomáš Absolon is paradoxically the least strategic and at the same time the most personal painter. And probably most of all he relies on painting as a medium of artistic truth. At first glance, these are virtuoso, at second glance almost hypersensitive, introverted painting events. Their aesthetic of emptying is actually a kind of protection for an increasingly fragile subjectivity, which already seems to be a mere remark on the fringes of everything we see around us. The exhibition will present a selection of the author's new and older works.
